CHIP TIMING, RACE RESULTS AND AWARDS

..

The 5k race and the 6.7-mile race will both be timed using Winning Time chip technology.

At the post-event ceremony in Madison Park at 10:15 AM, the top 5 overall men and women finishers in the 5k and 6.7-mile races will receive their awards. Age group winners will receive their awards by mail.  Age group results and awards will not be available at Madison Park.

Finish times for all 5k and 6.7-mile runners will be calculated using "gun" time, which is the elapsed time from when the horn sounds to start the race and the time shown on the clock when the runner crosses the finish line.  We will not have timing mats at the start lines for the 5k or 6.7-mile races.

The top 5 overall men and women finishers are NOT eligible to receive an age group winner award.

Results will be posted on www.shorerun.com by 5:00 PM on Monday, June 30.

All timing chips must be returned at Madison Park.  A runner who fails to return his or her timing chip is subject to being charged a fee of $30, which is refundable when the timing chip is returned.

All timing chips not returned at Madison Park are to be mailed in a padded envelope to:
